
Harbottle Parish Council receives £15,000 for it to become a crisis hub to support its residents of Harbottle, Northumberland.
The Parish Council has purchased a generator and a trailer so that the generator can be transported to where it is needed most. In addition, a heavy duty marquee has also been purchased for use in the event of an emergency in the summer such as floods. Harbottle Parish Council is on their way to become locally resilient.
Harbottle Parish Council received £15,000 from the Northern Powergrid Foundation to provide a generator and various pieces of kit and to make a contingency plan to enable the community of Harbottle, Northumberland, to manage during an emergency involving loss of power.

Due to the possibility of further power interruptions at Harbotle and the impact they would have on the essential services offered to the local community the parish council identified a need to increase their resilience.

The Northern Powergrid Foundation supported the community project with a £15,000 donation to go towards generator, resilience goods and medical equipment.
